ATTENTION ABSENTEE VOTER:
The United States District Court has issued a Consent Order changing certain provisions of
Ohio
law that would otherwise require qualified electors to provide proof of identity when casting their absentee ballot.
Please be advised that your ballot will be counted whether or not you include one of the following with your Identification Envelope: a driver’s license number or the last four digits of your social security number or enclose a copy of one of the other statutorily recognized forms of identification.
You MUST provide your date of birth and signature on the identification envelope.
The voted absentee ballot must be received by your
county
Board
of Elections no later than 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 7, 2006. Ballots being returned from military or overseas voters must be signed and postmarked no later than Tuesday, November 7, 2006 and received no later than Friday, November 17, 2006.
If you are returning your ballot by mail, you must affix proper first class postage (additional postage may be required for ballots returned from abroad). Ballots may also be returned in person to your
county
Board
of Elections before 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2006.
